Welcome to FYShinsengumi!
This is a tumblr page dedicated to the Shinsengumi, a special "police" force created during the late Edo Period, or the Bakumatsu. They served the Tokugawa shogunate and were respected by many, but feared by all, nicknamed the "wolves of Mibu" for their ruthless and relatively harsh regulations.
the Shinsengumi are featured in many anime and manga today. This tumblr includes information and many pictures about the true historical group as well as the fictional representations. I will post movie, anime, tv show, and manga summaries, as well as interesting facts, screenshots, and videos we find here and there.

I have not finished the manga so I’m not sure when/where it is in there!

The Shinsengumi were a group of swashbuckling samurai who supported the Shogun against the rebellious ronin who wanted to oust the Shogun for failing to keep the barbarians out of late nineteenth century Japan.
